Our Drainage Design Services for Urban Environments utilize our experience and training in water drainage needs specific to urban settings. We assist urban areas to determine storm drain sizes, storm drain alignment requirements, drainage channel design, detention and retention analysis. We are also able to incorporate Post Construction Stormwater Quality treatment into your project.

JGVE is skilled in developing drainage models for watersheds ranging from a few acres to hundreds of square miles. Our detailed models show the benefits of detention, impacts of development, split flows, retention, and diversion.

Additionally, our engineers have analyzed thousands of miles of culverts, storm drains, and river channels. We provide recommendations for the design of channel or culvert improvements and to improve flooding concerns or benefit a community. We can also assess the impact of a proposed project on the floodplain within a river.
